Service:
Chico Blazin Heat also acknowledges kids and families
for contributing to the community.
Drew Minkler volunteers at the Jesus Center, and
is a member of the Chico Valley Scorchers Football
Team.
Sterling Winter, Butte United U14 Soccer Team was
selected as a Student Member, WASC Accreditation
Team,
Art Acker Honor Student Award given to one 6th grade
boy and one girl at each school.
Chayce Maday, 7th grade boys team, has a 3.5 GPA
is on CJSF, California Junior Scholarship Federation.
In Feb. he was chosen as Maywood Cougar of the Month.
Chayce has also done 5 hours of comm. service this
year, picking up garbage on a local roadway.
Sami Sanders, 8th grade girls team, received the
Outstanding Scholarship Award for a continuous 4.0
GPA at Marsh Jr. High. She also received the President's
Award for Outstanding Academic Excellence &
the Honor Award for CJSF. She is also a member of
National Charity League and has logged over 30 hours
of charity work this school year for local organizations
including Special Olympics, Enloe Foundation, American
Cancer Society and the North State Symphony.
Jade Smith, 8th grade girls team, received the Presidential
Silver Award for Educational Improvement at chico
Jr High for a 3.5 GPA or higher for jr high years
and good attendance.
